What is Lead Institute?
Lead institute is a government-approved private educational institution (college) of higher learning offering primarily the Caribbean Examination Council’s (CXC) Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) and CXC Associate Degrees.
When and why was Lead Institute founded?
Lead Institute was established as a nonsectarian coeducational institution of higher learning in 2010. The goal was to expand access to quality and affordable education to all Dominicans without any regard to race, religion, socio-economic status, or ethnicity.
Is Lead Institute a recognized school?
Yes! Lead Institute is a government of Dominica licensed institution of higher learning.  We have been operating in Dominica for more than ten years.  We offer CAPE and the CXC Associate degrees that are internationally recognized and accepted.
What programmes does Lead Institute offer?
We offer CAPE and the CXC Associate Degrees, CSEC remedial courses and, the Cambridge A ‘Levels.
Does Lead Institute offer a part-time programme?
Yes. We however require a minimum of ten students per course to host separate evening classes. Alternatively, part-time students may choose to follow our regularly scheduled day classes.
Besides your academic programmes, what other services does Lead offer?
Apart from the CXC suite of courses and A’ Levels, Lead Institute provides a university recruitment and placement service specializing in helping students apply, matriculate, and earn scholarships to study in the USA.  We also offer SAT classes, and other short-term training programmes announced from time to time.
Is Lead Institute associated with the University of Leeds?
No! Lead Institute is not associated with the University of Leeds. We are an indigenous and wholly autonomous private school of higher learning singularly committed to the success of our students. We are not affiliated with any university or religion.
What Is an Associate’s Degree?
The associate’s degree is a college degree that qualifies you for a position in several professional fields or to continue (transfer) to a four-year college or university.
Where is Lead Institute?
Lead Institute is located in Madrelle, Loubiere, a small suburban community in the Parish of St. George, in the Roseau South Constituency. We are just a 5-minute drive from the capital city, Roseau.

Are the Tutors at Lead Institute Qualified?
Yes! Our tutors and lecturers are all highly qualified and bring to the classroom, many years of industry experience. Eighty-two (82%) are trained and qualified teachers, 18% hold PhD’s or are in the process of doing so, and almost half (46%) have master’s degrees. The remaining 36% all possess undergraduate degrees.  Thus, education at Lead Institute is both robust and relevant.
