Our Scholarships and Awards Recognize a Student’s Academic Achievements
We value and reward excellence and make every effort to highlight the achievements of deserving students who demonstrate leadership and commitment. We invite all students to apply for scholarships and awards they are eligible for as outlined in the criteria.
Tuition Reduction Scholarship (TRS)
TRS scholarships are awarded to every degree-seeking fulltime Lead Institute student registered for at least five (5) courses per year. Valued at $1000, the scholarship is reflected in our low tuition. Five hundred dollars ($500) is applied to each year.
Who’s eligible?
Lead Institute students participating in the Tuition Reduction Scholarship who are:
- Pursuing their first post-secondary degree.
- Enrolled for 5o or more credits per year.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Demonstrate responsible citizenship
Honours Programme Scholarship (HPS)
HPS scholarships are awarded to outstanding students who complete a minimum of 50 credits hours at Lead Institute and graduate with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. HPS give students the opportunity to write the GCE A ‘Level exams. The GCE A ‘level Exams allow students to compete for Dominica’s Island Scholarship award. Scholarships are awarded in year two (2) and are based on merit. Scholarships cover 50% of the examination fees.
Who’s eligible?
Lead Institute students participating in the Honours Programme who are:
- Pursuing their first post-secondary degree.
- Enrolled for 5o or more credits per year.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5
- Demonstrate responsible citizenship
