Marissa Norris

During my tenure at MSU, I was named to the Provost’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List. I was also awarded an MSU Computer Science Department Scholarship.

I worked part-time on campus as Student Assistant, Orientation Leader and Resident Assistant, while completing my degree.  In 2018-2019, I was recognized as the “New Student Assistant of the Year”.

I am currently employed as a Jr. Software Engineer with TRANSFLO from Pegasus TransTech. I have been with the company for more than ten months.

My General Studies Associate degree gave me essential skills in programming and IT concepts that came in handy when I started my Computer Science major in university. Lead Institute provided me with a solid foundation in key subjects that I could build upon to reach where I am today.

I would recommend Lead Institute to others because you can study specific subjects that directly impact the path you would want to take in the future. The small classrooms allowed better support from teachers and a safe environment to express yourself. The CAPE exams do prepare you for university-level exams. Furthermore, CAPE is an internationally recognized exam, which gives you the qualifications needed to enter University.
