Students who have elected the majors of biology and physics as a basis can further advanced their studies in such fields as biophysics, radiation biology, radiological health or environmental science. The major is also good preparation for pre-medical students.
Natural Sciences - Option #2 Learning Outcomes. You will:
- Acquire a body of knowledge and develop an understanding of concepts and principles in biology and physics.
- Develop an understanding of the scientific method and the ability to apply it to solving problems.
- Assist in the development of critical thinking, analytical, and practical skills.
- Appreciate the impact of physics and biological knowledge on society and its relevance to ethical, economic, environmental and technological issues.
- Develop the ability to apply physics and biological knowledge and skills to relevant Caribbean situations and issues.
