The Associate of Arts – Financial Services Studies gives students an understanding of financial services available to consumers and the factors that must be considered when deciding on such things as loans, mortgages, and insurance. Students gain the knowledge and skills that are vital for young people to make informed financial decisions by acquainting them with the risks and challenges involved in personal finance, and tools for effective planning.
Financial Services Learning Outcomes. You will:
- Get an introduction to supply and demand.
- Study about firms and their decisions about optimal production.
- Understand the fundamentals of microeconomics & macroeconomics.
- Incorporate numeric information to support solutions to economic issues
- Understand market structures and market power.
- Collect and integrate information from a variety of sources.
